Rumiano Cheese Co., Crescent City, Calif., added two new products to its organics line: Rumiano Raw Organic and Rumiano Organic grated and shredded cups, and an entirely new line, Rumiano Redwood Coast. Rumiano said the new cheeses are being released as part of its centennial celebration. The company is the oldest family-owned cheese company in California.
The company’s first raw organic cheese, Rumiano Raw Organic medium cheddar, is now available in 8-ounce blocks. The cheese is crafted with locally sourced organic milk from small generational dairy families in the Redwood Coast and aged a minimum of 90 days.
Another new offering, Rumiano Organic grated and shredded Parmesan and Romano cups, will be available in a 6-ounce package starting in February.
In addition, Rumiano’s latest line, Redwood Coast, features a modern twist on the family’s century-old cheesemaking traditions. Available in an 8-ounce block, Sriracha Jack is the first variety in the new line.
“For four generations and 100 years, our goal has remained the same — to innovate and to bring the highest quality cheese made from pasture-raised cows in California to our customers,” said Joe Baird, Rumiano Cheese Co.’s CEO. “We’re thrilled to release our first-ever organic raw cheese, our new cups and our Redwood Coast Sriracha Jack to market.”
