Alden’s Organic said it is set to release eight new flavors this spring. The new offerings will be the first pint-sized releases from the Eugene, Ore.-based ice cream company.
The new flavors include Road Trip Dark Chocolate Almond, which is vanilla ice cream with almonds and salted dark chocolate; Caramel Macchiato, which is coffee ice cream drizzled with sea salt caramel; and Midnight Cherry Chip, which is composed of cherry ice cream with chunks of organic cherries and dark chocolate; and more.
“If something says ‘strawberry,’ we think it should taste like strawberry not strawberry-ish,” said vice president of marketing and innovation Michelle Hunt. “Recipes like Sasquatch Tracks and Road Trip evoke our Oregon roots and spirit. We do ice cream the Oregon way — always playful yet relentlessly progressive.”
The new flavors will have a suggested retail price ranging from $5.49 to $5.99.
Alden’s also said it will be consolidating its novelty portfolio with its sister brand, Julie’s Organic. The consolidation will incorporate top-selling Julie’s novelties and will hit the market in updated Alden’s packaging in spring 2019.
“Alden’s mission is to make organic ice cream irresistible for all,” Hunt said. “As leaders in the organic category since 2004, we are ‘all in’ on organic and letting the organic flavor realness shine through in every scoop, lick and bite.”
