Chobani, LLC, Norwich, N.Y., announced the launch of the company's first-ever plant-based recipe, Non-Dairy Chobani. The new line of products is made from cultured organic coconut and designed for consumers looking for nondairy options, Chobani said.
According to the company, Non-Dairy Chobani products are packed with probiotics, made with less sugar than other non-dairy brands and contain only non-GMO ingredients with no artificial flavors, sweeteners or preservatives.
"For some time, we've felt that people deserve better nondairy options," said Hamdi Ulukaya, founder and CEO of Chobani. "We've come up with … a new recipe that's absolutely delicious, but also meets our food philosophy of being nutritious, made with only natural ingredients and at a price that's accessible to all. Most importantly, this isn't a replacement to dairy, but it's a game-changer for plant-based products."
Starting this month, Non-Dairy Chobani will be available nationwide in grocery and retail stores. The new product line includes single-serve cups in Blueberry, Peach, Slightly Sweet Plain, Strawberry and Vanilla, as well as single-serve drinks in Mango, Slightly Sweet Plain, Strawberry and Vanilla Chai. The suggested retail price for Non-Dairy Chobani is $1.99 per 5.3-ounce single-serve cup and $2.49 per 7-ounce single-serve drink.
