Beetology introduced a line of organic cold-pressed juices made from beets and a handful of other good-for-you ingredients such as ginger, vegetables and fruit. According to many sources, the brand said, beets may improve health by lowering blood pressure, boosting stamina, fighting inflammation and more. The ready-to-drink juices, packaged in 8-ounce glass bottles, come in five blends, including beet + lemon + ginger, beet + veggie, beet + tropical fruit, beet + berry and beet + cherry. An 8-ounce serving of the beet + cherry variety has 100 calories, zero grams of fat, 18 grams of sugar and 3 grams of protein. The beverages have a suggested retail price of $3.99 per bottle and are available in the refrigerated section of select health food, specialty, grocery and kosher food stores. They are produced by Bayonne, N.J.-based Kayco.
