Joseph Gallo Farms adds Non-GMO Project verification
The verification confirms that the company’s organic cheeses are produced in compliance with rigorous standards for GMO avoidance.

Joseph Gallo Farms, makers of Joseph Farms cheese, said its family of organic cheeses earned verification by the Non-GMO Project. This verification confirms that Joseph Farms organic cheeses are produced in compliance with rigorous standards for GMO avoidance.
The non-GMO claim means that the food is made without ingredients that were derived from genetically engineered organisms. For meat, poultry, dairy and eggs, the claim means animals were not fed a diet containing genetically engineered crops, the Atwater, Calif.-based company said.
“Joseph Farms believes in our customers’ right to know what is in their food,” said Mike Gallo, CEO of Joseph Gallo Farms. “The Non-GMO Project Verified seal is the gold standard and is the most trusted label among consumers, and we are proud to be able to offer this transparency to our customers.”
