Dutch Farms introduces thick-cut shredded cheeses
The shreds come in four varieties, including mild cheddar and mozzarella.

Chicago-based Dutch Farms launched a line of thick-cut shredded cheeses. The shreds come in four varieties: Mexican (four-cheese blend), mild cheddar, mozzarella and sharp cheddar.
The mild cheddar variety contains 110 calories, 9 grams of fat and 6 grams of protein per 1/4-cup serving. The cheese is sold in 7- to 8-ounce bags for a suggested retail price around $3 (depending on the retailer and region), the company said. The line of shreds is available in many Chicago-area grocers, as well as a number of locations across the country.
The new shredded cheese lineup joins three varieties of traditional shreds, 14 varieties of fancy shreds and four varieties of recipe blend shredded cheeses.
