The Wisconsin Cheese Makers Association (WCMA), Madison, Wis., is inviting the dairy industry’s next generation of leaders — that is, anyone 40 years old or younger — to join the WCMA Young Professionals group for an outing to Evolution Milwaukee on Tuesday, April 17 from 7:00-10:00 p.m. This event immediately follows the Tetra Pak Opening Reception for the International Cheese Technology Expo (ICTE) at the Wisconsin Center in Milwaukee.

“While ICTE 2018 offers an abundance of networking opportunities, the WCMA Young Professionals event is geared toward up-and-comers, with the goal that they might make valuable career-long connections,” said Kirsten Strohmenger Henning, WCMA events manager.

As a special offer this year, WCMA-member Young Professionals have the chance to earn complimentary full registration to ICTE by volunteering to set up the Championship Cheese Display Coolers on-site at the expo, WCMA said. WCMA Young Professionals who agree to volunteer from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. on April 17 can have their tickets punched for all activities, including the Young Professionals event and seminars at ICTE 2018. This offer is open to the first 10 WCMA-member Young Professionals to claim a spot. Interested parties should contact Kirsten Strohmenger Henning in regard to their interest at khenning@wischeesemakers.org.

The April 17 outing to Evolution Milwaukee is fully sponsored by WCMA and will feature snacks and ping pong. To learn more, visit WisCheeseMakers.org. To register for ICTE 2018, visit CheeseExpo.org.
