The a2 Milk Co., Sydney, Australia, produces A2 milk that’s made from select cows that naturally produce milk containing only A2 protein (no A1 protein), the company said. The company expanded its offering in the U.S. market to consumers in the Northeast, in more than 1,400 new locations. A2 milk is said to have a protein structure that makes it easier to digest. The milk is sold in 59-ounce cartons and retails for $4.99. A 1-cup serving contains 160 calories, 9 grams of fat, 12 grams of sugar and 8 grams of protein. The milk is available in whole, 2%, chocolate 2% and 1% varieties.
