Velvet Ice Cream, Utica, Ohio, relaunched the Elephant Ear ice cream flavor to its line, which was first introduced at the Ohio State Fair last year and was brought back by popular demand. The flavor is made of vanilla ice cream, caramel sauce and crispy nuggets of fried, cinnamon-coated elephant ear pastry. The ice cream is available at grocery stores in Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky for a suggested retail price of $6.99 for a 56-ounce package. A half-cup serving contains 160 calories, 8 grams of fat, 16 grams of sugar and 2 grams of protein.
