Kansas City, Mo.-based Live Real Farms, owned by Dairy Farmers of America, launched an Energy Drink made from dairy and fruit juice. The blended drink contains skim milk, juice blends, whey protein, natural flavors and green tea extract, along with other vitamins and water. It’s available in three flavors — berry, peach mango and strawberry banana. The strawberry banana flavor contains 180 calories, 0 grams of fat, 28 grams of sugar and 12 grams of protein per 11-ounce bottle. The drink is currently available in certain test markets in Wisconsin and Minnesota (in Woodman’s, Walmart and Pick ‘n Save stores) and in Phoenix (Safeway). Dairy Foods found the drink retailing for $1.99.
