Speakers at the Membrane Technology Forum (membraneforum.com) in June presented important concepts and ideas in processing, from fundamentals of membrane technology to fouling and cleaning. Attendees learned about new technologies and applications from membrane experts who delivered case studies that discussed the problems, the proposed solutions and final results.
The 27th annual Membrane Technology Forum again broke on-site attendance records. For the first time, selected sessions were streamed live over the Internet, bringing knowledge to an expanded audience worldwide. Listen to the Broadcasting Live sessions at webinars.dairyfoods.com. Sponsorships and tabletop exhibits also reached an all-time high.
The three-day forum, held June 3 to 5 in Bloomington, Minn., marked the tenth consecutive year that Dairy Foods and Filtration & Membrane World LLC have partnered to produce this one-of-a-kind event. Industry experts shared their knowledge and expertise in an interactive forum allowing participants to get the most out of their experience. The event concluded with facility tours.
“The Membrane Technology Forum is a great and unique resource for professionals in the dairy, beverage, food processing and functional ingredients industries because much of the commercial membrane application information is not available through open literature,” said Dairy Foods Publisher Tom Imbordino. “Adding a keynote speaker this year plus, making several sessions available online with our Broadcasting Live program, helped bring further value and access to the event”.
After two days of presentations in meeting rooms, participants on the third day took guided tours of the facilities of Dow, Ecolab, GEA, GEA Power & Water, Tetra Pak and Summit Brewery.
“The vocational part of this event gives our attendees a unique chance to get up close and personal with new and existing membrane products and processes from some of the leading companies in this field,” said Sefa Koseoglu, president of Filtration & Membrane World LLC. “We would like to thank these companies for letting us within their doors. This adds a lot to the event.”
“We’ll again be expanding next year’s event with even more content and presentation choices,” Imbordino said. It will be held in Minneapolis on June 8 to 10, 2016.
