Brad Legreid, the executive director of the Wisconsin Dairy Products Association, Madison, said the entry deadline for the World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product Contest is Friday, July 17. Last year the contest drew more than 1,080 entries, a record. He said the goal this year is to achieve a significant increase.

“For this contest to continue growing, we need the support of our member companies, Legreid said.

Dairy processors received their awards at the World Dairy Expo and the winning products are auctioned off, with proceeds benefitting a scholarship fund. The World Dairy Expo Championship Dairy Product Contest is the only competition to include all dairy products, Legreid said. He urged dairy processors to support the contest by submitting numerous entries from all of their plants.
