Tillamook County Creamery Association, Tillamook, Ore., released Really Thin Slices in several of its popular cheese varieties. Medium Cheddar, sharp Cheddar, Pepper Jack and Swiss are now available in a thinner slice (each about 0.4-ounces), which contains around 45 calories per slice. Each 7.2-ounce package of 18 slices has a suggested retail price of $3.99. The cheese slices are currently available for national distribution in a shingle pack and will be found at major retailers in the West beginning this spring.
