Wallaby Organic, American Canyon, Calif., produces an organic Australian-style blended yogurt that is available in low-fat and nonfat varieties. It comes in 21 varieties and flavors, including Key lime, lemon, maple, strawberry, orange passion fruit and banana vanilla in the low-fat; and Bartlett pear, blackberry and mango lime as some of the options in the nonfat.
The yogurts are sold in 6-ounce cups for a suggested retail price of $1.19 and 32-ounce tubs for a suggested retail price of $3.99.
Wallaby Organic was originally inspired by the yogurts the founders of the company discovered while traveling in Australia. It’s made in small batches, using a slow and gentle cooking method, which ensures the creamy and smooth texture of the product naturally, according to the company. No artificial ingredients are used.
The Australian-style yogurt can be found at natural and specialty food stores like Whole Foods. Wallaby also produces authentically strained Greek yogurts, a line of traditional kefir and a European-style sour cream.
