Brattleboro, Vt.-based Ehrmann Commonwealth Dairy added new YoYummy flavors — grape and sour cherry — to its Green Mountain Creamery yogurt line. The line was developed with children in mind, and is a natural, low-fat yogurt packaged in a squeezable pouch.
Launched last November, it was the first fresh yogurt in squeezable packaging that includes live and active cultures, available in the United States, according to the company. Each 3.5-ounce pouch contains 14 grams sugar, 5 grams protein, 90 calories and 1.5 grams of fat.
YoYummy yogurt is made with grade A rBST-free Vermont milk and contains no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives; its packaging is BPA-free, and it is gluten-free and kosher. The line is also available in these four flavors: strawberry, mixed berry, strawberry-banana and cotton candy.
The suggested retail price is $3.99 to $4.99 for each 4-pack of 3.5-ounce pouches. The yogurts are available at retailers on the East and West Coast such as Fresh & Easy, Sprout’s Farmers Market, Hannaford, Stop & Shop, Giant Carlisle, Fairway Markets and Whole Foods Market New England. Oberweis Dairy distributes YoYummy in the MidWest through its home delivery channel and in their 40+ stores as well. Soon the yogurt pouches will also be available at Shoprite and H-E-B.
