Cargill’s cocoa and chocolate business created three tools in its portfolio of Price Risk Services to help customers more easily manage price risk. CocoaPacer, CocoaPacer Cap and CocoaRange Cap are designed to help protect customers from volatility when pricing their cocoa ingredients.

Separately, Cargill said its development program with Evolva Holding for fermentation-based steviol glycosides is moving into pilot scale ahead of schedule. Fermentation-derived steviol glycosides will enable cost-effective, commercially relevant sweetening solutions that include the best-tasting minor steviol glycosides, Cargill said.

The Dannon Co., White Plains, N.Y., and Danone Inc. (Canada) named Chr. Hansen, Milwaukee, Wis., their Supplier of the Year in the category of Best in Quality. Wild Flavors GmbH, Zug, Switzerland, created a Global Flavor Council to consolidate and leverage the knowledge and expertise of worldwide employees to allow for a deeper focus on flavors. Chief Global Flavorist Marie Wright will lead the council.

 Roha Group launched its global reorganization initiative at the 2013 IFT show in Chicago.
