A new kosher Greek yogurt was introduced from Norman's Greek Yogurt, Rutherford, N.J. The yogurt is made exclusively in a kosher Cholov Yisroel facility, the first of its kind, according to the company.
Cholov Yisroel is considered a higher standard of kosher dairy in Jewish Law, as the entire production process from milking has been under strict and diligent rabbi supervision.
The new Greek yogurt is sold in 6-ounce cups for a suggested retail price of $1.79. It’s available in six flavors — strawberry, peach, vanilla, black cherry, blueberry and plain. It’s currently sold in most medium to large sized kosher grocery stores in Brooklyn, Monsey, Lakewood, Williamsburg, Monroe, Kiryas Joel, the 5 Towns and other places around the tri-state area.
The company said they will be announcing two new flavors soon and the yogurt will be available in more stores nationally as well.
