Pinkberry said it will sell fresh Greek yogurt alongside its frozen yogurt products in April.
The Los Angeles-based chain, with 225 stores worldwide, has created five recipes featuring the yogurt. One, Chocolate Berry, has fresh raspberries, blueberries, chocolate granola and shaved chocolate drizzled in cinnamon honey. Another is Cucumber Sunflower, made with chopped Persian cucumber, sunflower seed bites, chili powder and olive oil.
A 5-ounce serving of Pinkberrygreek has 80 calories and 15 grams of protein. The chain describes the product as "all-natural Greek yogurt with no added sugar, thickeners or preservatives."
Pinkberry will give out free full-size servings every Wednesday in April from 11a.m. to 2 p.m. during what it calls "Snack Hours."
Pinkberry's frozen yogurt carries The National Yogurt Association seal and is made with real milk and yogurt packed with live and active cultures and is OU Kosher-certified.
