The achievement is important to dairy processors, since the filling of low-acid products into PET, such as milk and milk-based drinks, when performed aseptically, typically requires a cleaning/sterilization cycle every 72 hours. The ECOSpin can run continuously for up to five days, saving on production days and reducing the cost per bottle.
