Hopping on the ice cream and alcohol bandwagon is restaurant chain Red Robin. It is serving a cold beer milkshake made with soft serve ice cream, Samuel Adams Octoberfest draft, vanilla and caramel. The beverage is on the menu until Nov. 11.
"Nothing says Oktoberfest better than a beer, so I incorporated the fun spirit of Red Robin into this innovative milkshake," said Donna Ruch, master mixologist with Red Robin.
Two other new menu item for the season are Warm Pretzel Bites served with Merkts beer cheese dip and a hamburger topped with Merkts beer cheese spread
