Tetra Pak, a supplier of food processing and packaging solutions, expanded its cheese processing facility in Winsted, Minn., to include the manufacturing of dairy, beverage and prepared food processing equipment for North America, Central America and South America.
The company said that the 26,368-square-foot expansion will allow it to increase its services to these regions by meeting the growing market demand.
The new expansion, along with an existing manufacturing facility in Greenwood, will allow Tetra Pak to respond to demand for production solutions such as pre-assembled and pre-tested skids for thermo-processing, membrane filtration and other applications.
The new Winsted facility will now be able to manufacture about 45 different skid and processing machine types and have the capacity to produce approximately 100 skids annually.
Henrik Jonsson, Managing Director of Tetra Pak Processing Systems Americas said “we are dedicated to continuously improving our services and capabilities to meet the changing demands that our customers face. With the new factory in Minnesota we will have excellent opportunities to meet these demands.”
