Butter prices received for 25-kilogram and 68-pound boxes meeting United States Department of Agriculture Grade AA standards averaged $1.44 per pound for the week ending March 17. The price per pound increased 2.8 cents from the previous week. The prices were reported by the National Agricultural Statistics Service of the USDA.
Cheddar Cheese prices received for U.S. 40-pound blocks averaged $1.50 per pound, a per-pound increase of 0.3 cent from the previous week. The price for U.S. 500-pound barrels adjusted to 38% moisture averaged $1.51 per pound, down 0.9 cent.
Dry Whey prices received for bag, tote, and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade standards averaged 60.4 cents per pound, a decrease of 1.5 cents.
Nonfat Dry Milk prices received for bag, tote, and tanker sales meeting USDA Extra Grade or United States Public Health Service (USPHS) Grade A standards
averaged $1.33 per pound, down 1.5 cents.
