Northbrook, Ill.-based Twisted Foods introduces Twisted Butter, a spreadable blend of grade AA salted butter, canola oil and all-natural, highly flavorful ingredients designed to enhance meals and snacks. Besides traditional uses, these flavor-infused toppings allow for unlimited imagination in the kitchen, without the burden of having to dice, chop and mix ingredients. American Kitchen Delights, Harvey, Ill., is the co-packer.
Twisted Butter comes in six sweet and savory varieties: Bacon, Dijon Mustard & Green Onion; Blueberry, Honey & Lemon Zest; Chives & Parsley; Cilantro & Lime; Cinnamon, Honey & Brown Sugar; and Portobello Mushroom with Boursin Garlic & Fine Herb Cheese.
“Our dairy case and consumer research showed that an opportunity existed for fresh innovation in the mainstream butter department, specifically with infused butters,” says CEO Dave Milazzo, who co-founded the company with Jane Johnson. “Clearly, more people are cooking at home nowadays and butter is such a versatile ingredient for enhancing all types of foods. We formulated the butter flavors so that they easily blend into everything from breakfast to dinner and all snacks in between.”
