OBITUARIES
Bozell Worldwide — Jay Schulberg, 65, ad agency
executive behind the famed “got milk?” campaign, died January
12 of pancreatic cancer in Doylestown, Pa. Schulberg was the chief
executive creative officer at Bozell in 1994, when the firm was hired to
create a campaign to attract more customers to milk.
International Dairy Foods Association (IDFA) — Kathleen
Nelson, 34, IDFA senior director of public affairs, died January 22 of
breast cancer. Nelson brought dedication and determination to the
organization for more than six years.
U.S. Department of Agriculture — Ed Garbe, 83, died
January 16 at Iowa Methodist Medical Center in Des Moines. Garbe
served as chief of the inspection and grading division from 1967 until he
retired in 1978.
