Folks at Chr. Hansen’sMilwaukee, Wis., headquarters cut the ribbon to its new Global Expertise Center for. Designed as the go-to center for natural color solutions to the international prepared foods industry, natural color specialists will be on hand to help customers solve their technical issues and protect their brands’ equity by converting to natural colors.
Trademark Transportation, a carrier, warehousing and logistics specialist for refrigerated and frozen products, moved from its Bridgeview, Ill., terminal to a larger facility in Joliet, Ill., to integrate warehousing and transportation services and provide expanded services for their customers. The Joliet facility has a large refrigerated dock and increased temperature-controlled storage space.
Internationally Known
RMT Robotics, a Cimcorp Oy Co., landed its first sale through its new Indian sales partner, LTM Business Unit, part of the machinery and industrial products division of Larsen & Toubro Ltd. LTM sold a fleet of 11 ADAM autonomous mobile robots to a major Indian tire manufacturer. These ADAM vehicles are equipped with green tire carriers and will be used to automatically collect and transport work-in-process truck and bus radial tires from the tire build machines to the painting automation. The system will be installed and operational later this year.
SPX Corp.’s Flow Technology segment entered into a definitive agreement to acquire e&e Verfahrenstechnik GmbH, a leading supplier of extraction, evaporation, vacuum and freeze-drying technologies to for coffee and tea extracts. The terms of the transaction were not disclosed. The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2011.

Paul Whitakerwas named consumer products divisional leader, responsible for growth of top-line revenue through direct sales and business development activities, divisional leadership of the cross-functional team, including marketing, procurement, logistics, supply chain, finance, product development and operations departments, day-to-day management of new product development, customer service and order fulfillment and lead in organizing strategic and tactical planning.

Elaine McGlynnjoined the research, quality and innovation team as senior principal development scientist, responsible for the flavor development of customer-driven projects as well as flavor internalization to support internal ConAgra Foods’ initiatives. McGlynn maintains extensive sweet flavor development experience for dairy, confectionery and beverage products, and is highly proficient in technical support, flavor/product demonstrations and project collaboration.
