Research shows that children develop differently at every age and that their nutritional needs also vary widely at each stage of development. That’s why Dutch dairy cooperative FrieslandCampina has created what it refers to as "Triplet.” The line features three distinct formulations for three different age groups: toddlers (1-3 years), children (4-12 years) and teenagers (13 years and older).
The milk for the youngest consumer is enriched with calcium, vitamin A and a blend of omega-3, 6, and 9 fatty acids, in particular DHA. For grade school-aged kids, the milk is formulated to provide energy and stimulate growth and brain development. In addition to DHA, it includes vitamin B2. For teens and beyond, the milk also contains a number of anti-oxidative vitamins that assist with health and wellness during growth.
The company believes that segmentation is the best way to promote the consumption of milk in the different age groups. It also leads to even greater appreciation of milk among consumers. With Triplet, FrieslandCampina offers people the opportunity to drink the milk that most closely meets their needs.
