Goudsmit Magnetic Systems developed an improved version of the rotating clean-flow magnet in collaboration with Friesland Campina Domo. The magnet removes very-fine metal particles from whey powder. Because of its renewed dynamic seal, it will also be dust-proof at an overpressure of up to 0.4 bar. Pressure in the filler pipe may increase during the filling of bulk bags. Formerly, overpressure that occurred resulted in leakage. The magnet manufacturer solved this problem together with Friesland Campina Domo and made some practical improvements that make this version deployable for many purposes. Not only was the seal improved, but also the magnetic value was increased (Br value: 13,200 Gauss). The magnets will also retain their strength at higher temperatures.
