Dairy Foodscolumnist Michael Richmond has been selected for membership in the Packaging Hall of Fame of the Packaging Machinery Manufacturers Institute. Richmond is the senior partner with Packaging & Technology Integrated Solutions, Shelbyville, Mich. He helped develop the Essentials for Sustainable Packaging, an education program that is one of the foundations in sustainable packaging. Richmond has led the Future of Packaging program, a long-term probing that drills down into drivers and technology that will shape packaging’s next decade. Other inductees are Robert Dodrill (Rollprint Packaging Products), Edwin Landon (Landon, Farrey & Associates) and Bill Zito (Enercon Industries Corp.).
