Watson-Marlow Pumps Group, a world-leading positive displacement pump manufacturer, announces that its line of MasoSine pumps is ideal for juice processing applications, in both the fast-growing ready-to-pour and frozen concentrate market segments.
The highly reliable and economical positive displacement MasoSine pumps offer superior performance for juice processing, due to their speed of transfer operation, suction capability, lack of cavitation, low pulsation, low shear capabilities and ease of maintenance.
The MasoSine pumps are used in several phases of juice processing, including loading and unloading of the tankers that transport the concentrate, pumping concentrate to a blending process where the end product is ready-to-pour juice, and pumping concentrate to a filler for packaging as frozen concentrate.
In addition to pumping straight concentrate, MasoSine pumps can be used in other areas of the blending and filling operation, including filling lines for blended and single-strength juice, and for pumping corn syrup or high-fructose corn syrup in the blending operation.
MasoSine’s juice processing clients typically achieve a significant savings in unloading time and costs. MasoSine’s faster speed of transfer operations mean that unloading times for a 5,300 gallon tanker is reduced from nearly two-and-a-half hours to just over an hour, reducing downtime during peak unloading periods. Also, MasoSine pumps’ greater suction capability increases product yield per tanker by about 100 gallons over other pumps, thereby reducing wasted product.
MasoSine positive displacement pumps are the result of more than 25 years of engineering innovation and product development. The MasoSine pump’s exclusive sinusoidal rotor overcomes the limitations of conventional rotary lobe pumps to produce powerful suction with low shear, low pulsation, and gentle handling, along with simple and fast maintenance, and certification under 3-A Sanitary Standards Inc., the industry standard for food sanitation and hygiene.
With a single shaft and rotor, there is no need for the complex timing gears and multiple seals associated with conventional rotary lobe pumps. One rotor, one shaft and one seal equate to simple and economic maintenance.
The Watson-Marlow Pumps Group is the world leader in peristaltic pumping solutions. For over 50 years its Watson-Marlow, Bredel, Alitea, Flexicon, and MasoSine brands have been solving fluid handling problems using state-of-the-art pumping technology.
