CDF Corp. introduces a new 3-inch discharge assembly designed for collapsible, plastic intermediate bulk containers.

The discharge assembly consists of a 3-inch gland with membrane, a plug, a membrane cutter and a fitment adaptor. The membrane cutter is stored inside the fitment for easy access. The 3-inch fitment can be sealed onto any CDF form-fit liner. The fitment adaptor is attached to the fitment and clipped into the dispense opening. Once the membrane is cut, the product is ready for dispensing.

The clips on the discharge assembly allow the fitment to be attached directly onto the bin resulting in a secure and sturdy dispense. Standard 3-inch fitments have no way of attaching onto a bin, resulting in poor dispense fitment location, which causes difficulty during product dispense.

“This 3 inch discharge assembly offers a superior solution for dispensing viscous liquids in collapsible totes,” said CDF IBC Accounts National Sales Manager Phil Lanier.

The 3-inch discharge assembly is one of many innovative products for flexible packaging offered by CDF. Other flexible packaging innovations have included the Cheer Pack, Cheertainer bag-in-box and Air-Assist IBC liners.
