A new lightweight, user-friendly 4.25-gallon rectangular plastic container is now available from Plastican Inc. Designated the 36BR, it is designed to provide better cube efficiency and volume packaging of goods for the food, consumer and do-it-yourself markets.
Suitable for liquids as well as moist, dry and frozen goods, these rigid yet lightweight containers tolerate a wide temperature range. They also offer easy handling and excellent stacking strength, “nesting” closely to maximize the number of units per pallet and truckload for fewer shipments, less product handling and the more efficient use of plastic - 20% better cube efficiency than a round pail of the same capacity.
These pails are produced using high-density polyethylene or propylene and score high on environmental sustainability scorecards. Hinged lids are available, are easily resealed, and feature a tamper-evident tear strip. Bi-directional handle options allow better ergonomics.
An innovative leader in the manufacture of high-performance rigid plastic packaging, Plastican works closely with customers to understand their requirements and recommend the best container for the application. By using custom resin blends where necessary, Plastican meets customer-specific performance requirements such as ambient and frozen impact strength, compression strength and environmental-stress crack resistance. Efficient molding technologies, lean manufacturing processes and in-house testing ensure an economical and reliable solution. The company’s experts can also help choose the decorating process and photo-quality graphics that best enhance the container’s visual appeal.
Manufactured at four company-owned plants, Plastican containers hold a wide variety of products, including paints, foods, construction supplies, janitorial supplies, lubricants, specialty chemicals, swimming-pool chemicals and pet-care products.
