Denali Ingredients has introduced a line of stabilizer systems for use in ice creams, frozen deserts, cultured and direct acidified products. Denali Stabilizer Systems are available to the dairy trade currently and complement the company’s core business of providing flavor ingredients for ice creams, sherbets, flavored milks and other consumer dairy products.
Denali Stabilizer Systems have been developed as a result of a multi-million dollar expansion to the company’s New Berlin, Wis., facility earlier this year, which included new blending and control room equipment as well as a state-of-the-art dairy pilot lab facility.
“Our new line of stabilizers allows us to build on a solid niche we’ve established within the dairy industry,” said Neal Glaeser, president of the Wis.-based company. “We’re already providing a number of leading dairies with flavor ingredients, so there’s not only a cost benefit to shipping stabilizers at the same time, but paired with our new pilot lab capabilities, we can really impact how our customers go about developing new products as well.”
The $200 million stabilizer industry is growing to meet increasing demand for new product innovation in retail, foodservice and industrial markets. Stabilizers allow dairy manufacturers to produce products that are high quality, while providing specific texture and mouthfeel properties that have become major selling points for consumers.
Denali Ingredients’ best-selling product is the fudge found in Moose Tracks varieties of ice cream, including Original, Chocolate, Extreme, Mint and Brownie flavors. Denali Ingredients is a sister company to Denali Flavors, the leading independent ice cream flavor marketing company and developers of Moose Tracks ice cream.
