Gary Hirshberg, president and CEO of Londonderry, N.H.-based Stonyfield Farm, wrote a letter to his consumers pertaining to the latest recalled product.
A voluntary product recall has been issued for the 32-oz. Fat Free Plain yogurt, UPC # 52159 00006 carrying one of the following product codes:
May 06 09 22 Time stamped 22:17 thru 23:59
May 07 09 All time stamps
No other Stonyfield products are affected by this recall.
The voluntary recall is in response to some of these products possibly containing a minute amount of food grade sanitizer, as a result of human error.
Stonyfield Farm has received a small number of reports from consumers noticing an off-taste when eating the product, however there have been no reports of illness.
Consumers who have bought the above-mentioned product are asked to return opened and unopened containers to their local grocery store for a refund.
