Altra Industrial Motion announced it has launched a new website dedicated to its industrial coupling products to provide engineers with a convenient reference tool for the selection of couplings used in industrial power transmission applications.

The website, www.AltraGlobalCouplings.com, is the third in a new Altra series of product-oriented and industry-specific on-line resources designed to help educate engineers on the Altra brand component technologies used in a wide variety of industrial applications.

Products on the website are grouped according to type of coupling, including elastomeric couplings, grid and gear couplings, gear spindles, universal joints, torque limiters, general purpose disc couplings, and high performance disc and diaphragm couplings.  Product descriptions contain the unique features, benefits and capabilities of each component, along with typical applications.

The website also contains links to each of the four Altra brands whose couplings are featured: TB Wood’s, Ameridrives Couplings, Bibby Transmissions and Ameridrives Power Transmission.  On these brand websites, engineers can access more detailed technical specifications and sizing information on each coupling product as well as customer service information for technical and application assistance.
