Oakhurst Dairy, Portland, Maine, is embarking on a $6 million expansion of its cold storage and distribution facility. The company says the expansion of its downtown facility will help it grow its business in established markets, particularly in southwest Massachusetts.

Last year Monsanto Co. filed a suit to prevent Oakhurst from making label statements regarding no-hormone pledges from its farmer suppliers. In January the suit was settled when Oakhurst agreed to modify the wording of the label claim.
