Oberweis Dairy recently announced the launch of home delivery service to the Milwaukee area. The Illinois-based dairy will deliver a wide range of products including milk (in glass bottles), ice cream, eggs, cheeses, meats, orange juice, desserts and more.

Lino Saputo, Jr. officially took the helm March 30 as president and CEO of Saputo Corp. Since January he has been working on the transition process, begun in August 2003, which would lead him to his succession of his father.
Organic.co-op
La Farge Wisconsin's Organic Valley Family of Farms, the nation's largest organic dairy cooperative, has switched its Internet identity to .coop, an internet domain identity available since 2002. www.organicvalley.coop became the co-op's web address last month, in conjunction with a brand image update that emphasizes Organic Valley's farmers.

Industry insiders speculate
that Winn-Dixie Stores, Jacksonville, Fla., may shed its five-plant dairy division to help recover from a $79.5 million quarterly loss reported in January. It is thought that the sale could bring in up to $200 million for Winn-Dixie.
