Yarnell Ice Cream Co., Arkansas, has bought the Angel Food brand from Memphis-based Klinke Brothers Ice Cream Co., a move Yarnell says will help it compete in a consolidating industry. Klinke Brothers will shift its focus to making ice cream for the Baskin-Robbins chain, which is looking to expand, Yarnell said. Yarnell currently has distribution agreements with a number of national ice cream labels, such as Haagen-Dazs and Nestle.
