Newsline: Mad Cow May Impact Ag Deals with Cuba
It may be too early to tell how the discovery of mad cow disease in the west will affect the shipment of Agricultural products to Cuba. A deal announced in November was to move more than $8 billion in agricultural products including dairy cows and animal feed to the island nation this spring. In the wake of several countries deciding to ban imports of U.S. beef, there has been some speculation about the fate of 249 Florida beef cattle, which are scheduled to leave for Cuba in March.
