VANCOUVER, Wash.-Eight people have gotten sick, including two children hospitalized in critical condition, after being exposed to E.coli through raw milk from a farm near here.
Reports say that Dee Creek Farm ignored state orders in August to stop selling raw milk that has now sickened at least eight people. Washington allows the sale of unpasteurized milk only to those farms with a special license. The farm's owners contend that it didn't need a license because it operated as a cow share, but state officials say that does not provide exemption.
