Wimm-Bill-Dann, the Russian dairy processor, has disclosed that it is in talks with French Groupe Danone regarding the possibility of an acquisition. European trade publication Dairy Industries International says such a takeover would be in line with Danone's expansion strategy, which was mapped out by the company's chief executive Bernard Hours at a recent seminar in Spain.
