Yogurt company Siggi’s announced the launch of Siggi’s Starters, a grant program aimed at supporting nutrition professionals seeking to develop innovative programs to bolster community nutrition and wellness.
The Food Processing Suppliers Association (FPSA), McLean, Va., said it held its annual meeting on March 5, during which members elected the new FPSA board of directors and Executive Committee.
The dairy company also will introduce the nation’s first fully renewable plant-based milk carton.

After careful consideration, the American Dairy Products Institute (ADPI) and the American Butter Institute (AB) made the decision to postpone and reschedule the ADPI/ABI Joint Annual Conference originally slated for April 26-28, 2020.

In 2019, lactose-free milk sales grew twice as fast as sales of plant-based beverages, with lactose-free poised to surpass almond-beverage sales this year, according to the Arlington, Va.-based National Milk Producers Federation (NMPF), citing data from Chicago-based market research firm IRI.
The Elmhurst, Ill.-based American Dairy Products Institute (ADPI) said it expresses its concern and support to and for its members, colleagues, suppliers, exhibitors, sponsors, conference attendees and their respective organizations who have been impacted by the current 2019 Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) health emergency.
The program will be part of International Cheese Festival in Oviedo.
