Dairy Foods magazine presented its 2018 Processor of the Year award to Land O'Lakes Inc. during the Jan. 22 lunch session at the 2019 Dairy Forum in Orlando, Fla. Chris Roberts, president of Land O'Lakes' Dairy Foods unit and executive vice president, accepted the award on behalf of the Arden Hills, Minn.-based cooperative.

It’s the second champion title for the company in only four years.

The annual award recognizes individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to the processed dairy products industry.

The contest received a record number of entries for 2019.

The changes, effective April 1, are aimed at further supporting the company’s operations and growth strategy.

Groups in eight cities will receive grants.

Ron Dunford will succeed Haddad as president and CEO; Haddad will retire on Sept. 29.

The program represents a major step by the organic industry to fight fraud.
