IDFA announced the winners of the first annual Innovations Awards at the International Dairy Show, Sept. 18-21 in Atlanta. One winner was selected in each of five categories – food safety, ingredients/flavorings/seasonings/additives, packaging, processing and sustainability.
Dairy Foods seeks nominations for its 2011 Processor of the Year award. Dairy food processors (including milk, milk-based beverages, cheese, cultured dairy, ice cream and frozen desserts) are invited to nominate themselves or other companies.
The Dairy Research Institute and Cornell University have established a partnership with the Northeast Dairy Foods Research Center. The center, located at Cornell University in Ithaca, N.Y., will focus on fluid milk and dairy ingredient research, provide applications and technical support for improvements in milk powder quality and help establish the next generation of dairy ingredients
