Borden Cheese, a licensed brand of Kansas City, Kan.-based Dairy Farmers of America (DFA), donated 48,000 units of its Borden Cheese Crisps ‘n Cubes snack trays to Second Harvest Food Bank of Middle Tennessee, which is part of the national Feeding America network.
Eugene, Ore. is home to Oregon Ice Cream Co.'s 80,000-square-foot plant, which produces ice cream under the Alden's Organic brand: the No. 1-selling organic ice cream brand in the natural channel in the United States.
Contributions across the organization’s 10-state region will help meet the dairy demand food banks and pantries are facing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

In response to the COVID-19 pandemic, Rumiano Cheese Co., Willows, Calif., said it launched three new Redwood Coast cheeses to help support front-line health care workers in California.
The coronavirus pandemic has sent milk flying off the shelves as people stock up on essentials, but has also eliminated much of the dairy needed by institutions ranging from schools to restaurants.
The new campaign will deliver 24,000 half-gallons of milk to health care workers and first responders.
