Feeding Pennsylvania and their nine-member food banks solicited sponsors to kick-start the 2023 campaign, raising a record of over $201,000. Funds will be used to purchase fresh milk at a reduced price from their local dairy processors.
The grants are the first in the $1.8 million DBII award from the USDA.

The American Dairy Products Institute was established under its current name on April 17, 1986, through a merger of the American Dry Milk Institute, founded in 1925, and the Whey Protein Institute, founded in 1971.
