Jarlsberg Cheese opens pop-up store

The Jarlsberg Pop Up Experience, the first pop up store for Jarlsberg Cheese, opened its doors in New York City at Sockerbit, the famous Swedish candy shop on Christopher St. in Greenwich Village. Visitors enter a color-coded world filled with Jarlsberg Cheese, a brand of Norseland Inc., Darien, Conn.

The Jarlsberg Pop Up experience will be open through Oct. 7 from 11 a.m.-8 p.m. at Sockerbit, the brand said. Visitors may enjoy free cheese tastings, order freshly sliced cheese right off the 22-pound Jarlsberg wheel, and take photos that transport them to Norway as they “ride” a swing created from a cheese wheel facsimile.
