Ben & Jerry’s introduces non-dairy frozen dessert line

Burlington, Vt. -based Ben & Jerry’s (a subsidiary of Unilever) have created a non-dairy, certified vegan line of frozen dessert. The almond milk-based frozen dessert comes in classic Ben & Jerry flavors and two exclusive ones.

The flavors are:

• P.B. & Cookies (exclusive flavor) — Vanilla with chocolate sandwich cookies and crunchy peanut butter swirls.
• Coffee Caramel Fudge (exclusive flavor) — Coffee with fudge chunks and caramel swirls.
• Chocolate Fudge Brownie — Chocolate with fudge brownies from Greyston Bakery.
• Chunky Monkey — Banana with fudge chunks and walnuts.

The Chunky Monkey flavor contains 260 calories, 14 grams of fat, 26 grams of sugar and 2 grams of protein per 1/2-cup serving.

The new line up is available nationwide in pints for a suggested retail price of $5.69, and the P.B. & Cookies will be in the company’s Scoop Shops nationwide.
